So, it’s strange having a work holiday in the middle of the week, but I guess a day off is a day off, even if it throws off the rest of my week. Lots of firsts this week & weekend….

I met my new second cousin, the adorable Baby Tristan, for the first time at Gabby’s Independence Day Celebration. Coincidentally, it was also the first time Kenny met my family.

Continuing to pursue my goal to get in shape for the summer, I finally did the Santa Monica Stairs this weekend… with Kenny’s coaxing. Despite the fact that my legs now feel like jelly, I feel great! Seriously, it’s an awesome workout, and if I keep on, hopefully it will pay off.

And, I can almost cross off another of my one of my 2007 NY Resolutions. I ran into a book club group at a restaurant a few weeks ago and felt inspired to finally revive the LA LA Land Book Club. Our first book for 2007 is “A Thousand Splendid Suns“, by Khaled Hosseini, the author of the book club’s favorite novel, “Kite Runner.”

On another note, Kenny took some silly pics this weekend. I can’t even imagine acting this crazy in front of the camera… if only we all had this… gift(?). HA!
