Love After Love

On so many different levels, it’s been a particularly rough month for me.

One thing that’s kept me going is reminding myself that things could ALWAYS be much worse.

The other is the love & support from my friends & family. While it’s been difficult coming back to an empty “home,” I’m so blessed to have so many in my life who have called or visited or e-mailed.

Ultimately, I’ll have to be OK w/being by myself again, but that will come with time & patience… And I know I’ll find the strength within to return to my happy, vibrant self.

I’m off to Chicago this weekend for another wedding… my good friend Adam is getting hitched, & for the first time, I’ll be a groomswoman.

Thankfully, work extended our Go Live date for another month, so I changed my flight to come back on Monday instead of Sunday. I’ll be spending most of my weekend at wedding events, but I’ll have a whole day to squeeze as much as I can in.

A nice Chitown getaway is the perfect remedy for my sadness. I’m in desperate need of a Maker’s shot(s) & some groovy Chicago house. Who’s in?
