Ah The Joys…
… Of being a homeowner!
It’s been a tough transition into our new home, & we’re still hardly settled in, but I can’t complain. I’m a homeowner!
I’ve already had 3 house guests from out of town, with no furniture & no working fridge (long story). The washer & dryer were delivered on Friday, & the dryer started smoking after we used it for the first time. Ah the joys!
We picked up our free address labels from Office Depot, & we live on “Snoup” Ave. Oh the joys!
The Valley feels like hell when we’re at home - thank God for Central Air. We’re looking forward to our first power bill. Ugh, the joys!
All jokes aside, it’s a lot of work, but well worth the pain when you know it’s your own. G & Tigger are starting to feel at home. The painters will be working on the condo this weekend, & slowly we’ll start to fill the interior with new furniture.
On another, more important note, MANY THANKS to everyone for their support during my aunt’s surgery & radiation treatment. I know she’ll LOVE the scrapbook my sis & I are putting together of everyone’s pictures with the Breast Cancer bracelets on. She’s very tired, but love has kept her alive & strong, from family & friends back home in Chitown & even across the way in Hell-A. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts & prayers.
