More Change
The 2006 American Idol is Taylor Hicks. Woooo, Go Soul Patrol! I’m still disappointed about Chris & Elliot, but the season finale was amazing… & I must admit Taylor was adorable.
I started packing for the upcoming move last weekend. G. went to Ventucky for the weekend, so I had lots of me time… The first in a long while. It was pretty emotional, going through my things & reminiscing. Getting rid of old clothes, furniture, letters.
I’ve grown up a lot since I moved from Chitown. As I read through paper journals & flipped through pictures over the last 4 years, I realized… I can make it on my own, even outside my comfort zone. I listened to old CD’s & smiled as I heard the lyrics to songs that used to make me cry… I have moved on & used the hurt from the past as a stepping stone to bigger & better things - professionally, spiritually & emotionally.
G & I had dinner with our West side pals last night, & I couldn’t help but feel sad, thinking that spontaneous get-togethers wouldn’t be as easy.
Another end. Another beginning. More change…
Biatch is going to visit in a few weekends. It’s been a long time & a lot has changed in both of our lives, but I know we can pick up right where we left off.. Biatches in the house!
No matter what changes in my life, I know I can always count on my true gal pals! I’m looking forward to catching up with many of you next month in Chitown.
