The Beginning of the End
The long weekend off from work has been pretty relaxing. Sure, I’ve worked from home but it’s been wonderful being physically away from the office.
I finished my Christmas shopping while G. was in NYC, and my family takes care of the food, so all we had to do was show up with the wrapped presents and some booze. Christmas seemed like a repeat of Thanksgiving: Lunch at Auntie Luz’s in Canoga Park, Dinner at Gabby’s & Aila’s in West Hills, & Tea / Dessert at Mom & Pop Horsey’s in Ventucky.
A few differences: a surprise phone call from an old friend, the kids attacking G. the Tickle Monster with pillows & other household items, me getting sick from drinking so much Heineken, & the beautiful Xmas decorations. I am thankful for more wonderful times with our families.
Thankfully the holiday season/craziness is winding down. Can’t wait to close it out with my SoCal pals on NYE! Woo Hoo!
